The idea for the community hype event was conceived when the CNF had gotten rooted into communities through its community based Corporate Youth Clubs (CYC) activities.
CNF’s Community Hype & Development addresses SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), thus it fosters an all-inclusive and sustainable community development.
Through the CN’s engagements with communities especially with activities such as community cleanup, health screening, football and skills and entrepreneurship training, we realized the need to assist with the provision of solutions to identified problems in communities and as well, to project opportunities in communities to attract investors and the likes. This led to the inception of the ‘Community Hype; event which aims at collectively projecting the good and addressing their challenges in communities.
The Maiden edition of the “CorpNation Foundation Community hype” event was launched at the Takoradi Mall on the 3rd and 4th of December 2021. The two-day event is an initiative of CorpNation Foundation and was under the theme “Collectively Projecting the Good and Addressing Challenges in Our Communities”. It brought together over two thousand (2,000) people from not less than 10 communities across Sekondi- Takoradi and Effia-Kwesimintsim metropolises. The representatives of these communities were provided a platform for dialogue and partnership, and to showcase the uniqueness of each community. Ten Assemblymen and representatives of various professional Associations had an opportunity to promote their communities, services, and businesses. Western Region has unique stories and challenges; thus, the objective of the community hype event is to collaborate with all stakeholders to project ‘the good’ and provide the solutions to shared challenges.
The community hype event provides a platform that enables the voice of community leaders such as assembly members be heard. The event provides them the opportunity to project what is good in their communities and share their problems with local traditional and political leaders, corporate bodies, SMEs, and patriots who are willing to collaborate and work together with them to achieve greater benefits for society.
The CNF’s Community Hype and Development programme has made communities benefit from projects and ultimately, development activities and interventions since its inception
